Profile

Prof. Hamidreza Siampour

Hamidreza Siampour is a Lecturer at the School of Mathematics & Physics, Queen's University Belfast. He leads a research group focusing on investigating the interplay between nanophotonics and quantum optics. Before his current role, he held the position of Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, contributing to the development of a quantum imaging system utilizing optically active spins in diamond. Prior to that, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Sheffield, where he developed a semiconductor nanophotonic platform for directional spin-photon interfaces. He obtained his PhD degree in Quantum & Nanoscale Optics from the University of Southern Denmark, with his thesis titled 'A Nanophotonic Platform for Quantum Optical Integrated Circuits.'
